About Us
Puerto Peñasco is a Mexican town close to the U.S. border with a great number of American and Canadian citizens visiting for a weekend or a much-needed long vacation or live here up to 8 months a year. These visitors range from expats to retired people – seniors mostly who are trying to escape the harsh weather. Many of these people have a permanent home which could be a house, a condo, or townhouse that they live in, or maybe it’s a RV at an RV park right on the beach! Many of our visitors are savvy, and may have an extra homes or property that they rent out for added income.
In the last 7 years this Mexican community adopted pickleball as one of the favorite activities to do, and now are 6 different facilities used for this activity in town.
Mission
Our primary mission at Major League Pickleball is to foster the development of Pickleball as a catalyst for tourism while also attracting and engaging new players and recreational enthusiasts. We aim to inspire and connect individuals worldwide by creating the most exciting, entertaining, and inclusive Pro Pickleball play format. Through this, we strive to elevate the game experience for players and fans of all levels, ultimately contributing to the growth of Pickleball as a recreational activity and tourist attraction.
Vision
Our vision for Puerto Peñasco is to facilitate the expansion of Pickleball, catering to individuals of all ages, skill levels, and abilities. We aim to create and nurture an environment that fosters enjoyment, promotes health, and encourages social engagement. By providing organized recreational and competitive play, ongoing skill development, and mentoring programs, we seek to promote good sportsmanship and ensure that every player has a fun and fulfilling experience. Furthermore, we aspire to collaborate in the promotion and development of dedicated outdoor Pickleball courts, further enhancing the accessibility and growth of the sport in our city.
